Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) of the United Nations form the basis of sustainable investment at Erste Asset Management. As signatory of said PRI, Erste Asset Management adheres to the following six principles in its investment policy:
- We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
- We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
- We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
- We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
- We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
- We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.
Corporate Responsibility Interface Center
Erste Asset Management is a member of the association CRIC e. V., which advocates for ethics and sustainability in financial investments. Through this affiliation, Erste AM supports professional exchange on responsible financial practices.
ESG Plus - Research partner
ESG Plus evaluates the sustainability of companies and states according to criteria of well-known organizations such as the WWF and the Federal Environment Agency. In addition, the impacts of theme funds are calculated.
ISS – voting partner
ISS (Institutional Shareholder Services) bundles all documents of Annual General Meetings and extraordinary shareholder meetings for Erste Asset Management. In this area the company is market leader.

ISS ESG provides ESG research and ratings for companies and countries, helping clients identify material social and environmental opportunities and risks. More information can be found at:

Spainsif
On January 31, 2019, Erste Asset Management was accepted as a new member by the Admissions Committee of Spainsif. Spainsif is the platform for sustainable and responsible investments in Spain. Its goal is to integrate environmental, social, and good governance criteria into investment policies. To achieve this, Spainsif engages in dialogue with various social groups. Its members include financial and management companies, numerous service providers, and nonprofit organizations committed to sustainability.
Sustainalytics – engagement partner
On behalf of Erste Asset Management and other investors, Sustainalytics communicates with companies in order to highlight sustainability issues and to promote sustainability in these companies.
The Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF)
Erste AM and WWF Austria have been cooperating since 2006. Together, they founded an equity fund: ERSTE WWF STOCK ENVIRONMENT.
An environmental advisory board from WWF ensures that the fund complies with strict ecological and social criteria. Erste AM donates part of the fund’s management fees to WWF Austria’s water and climate protection program. This does not reduce the clients’ returns.
"Aus Liebe zum Menschen" Foundation
As part of socially sustainable investing, Erste Asset Management cooperates with the “Aus Liebe zum Menschen” Foundation of the Austrian Red Cross. Through this partnership, the foundation’s learning centers are supported.

The management company can decide to revoke the arrangements it has made for the distribution of unit certificates abroad, taking into account the regulatory requirements.

If the fund currency is a currency other than the investor's home currency, changes in the corresponding exchange rate may have a positive or negative impact on the value of his investment and the amount of the costs incurred in the fund - converted into his home currency.

The issue and redemption of unit certificates and the execution of payments to unit holders has been transferred to the Fund's custodian bank/depositary, Erste Group Bank AG, Am Belvedere 1, 1100 Vienna, Austria. Redemption requests can be submitted by investors to their custodian bank, which will forward them to the Custodian Bank/Depositary of the Fund for execution via the usual banking channels. All payments to investors are also processed via the usual banking clearing channel with the investor's custodian bank. In Germany, the issue and return prices of shares are published in electronic form on the web site www.erste-am.com (and also at www.fundinfo.com). Any other information for Shareholders is published in the Bundesanzeiger, Cologne.
