Invest in a global mix

What is a global mix?

Investing in a global mix means that you invest your money in different asset classes or geographical regions. For example, you invest not only in companies from the USA, but also from Europe and China. This is intended to spread the risk. Due to the investment in foreign currencies, the fund value can be affected by changes in exchange rates.

Imagine you have a basket of apples, pears and lemons. If you only have apples and nobody wants to buy more apples, then you have a problem. If you also offer pears and lemons, then you can also earn money if no one wants to buy more apples. That is the idea of diversification.

Why should you invest in real assets?

With the ERSTE REAL ASSETS mixed fund, investors can invest in real assets - and have been doing so for over two years now. To mark the fund's anniversary, Philip Schifferegger, fund manager of ERSTE REAL ASSETS, looks at the current market situation in an interview. He also explains why the fund is well equipped for both favorable and unfavorable market phases.
