Investing in the U.S. stock market with an ETF
The U.S. Stock Market in an ETF
The ERSTE ETF US EQUITIES UCITS ETF invests in the largest companies headquartered in the United States. It thus provides access to many stocks across various sectors.
The ETF can be used as a building block for long-term wealth accumulation. It is suitable for investors who wish to invest broadly across the U.S. stock market. Investing in securities offers opportunities but also involves risks.
What is an ETF?
An ETF is a fund that is traded on the stock exchange. Many ETFs track an index. An index shows how a specific market or a segment of a market is performing.
The ERSTE ETF US EQUITIES UCITS ETF tracks the Solactive USA Large Cap 250 Base USD Index NTR as closely as possible. This index consists of stocks from the 250 largest companies headquartered in the US, as long as they meet certain sustainability criteria. The ETF is not sponsored, promoted, sold, or supported by Solactive. Solactive does not guarantee the index.
The ETF invests directly in the securities included in the index. It is passively managed. This means that the fund tracks the index according to fixed rules. The fund management does not make ongoing active investment decisions, as is the case with an actively managed fund.
